Give one main difference between lyophobic and lyphilic colloids.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

In lyophilic colloids, there is an attraction between particles of dispersed and dispersion medium while repulsive forces dominate among the particles in a lyophoboc sol. Therefore, lyophilic sol is readily formed while formation of lyophoboc sol is rather difficult.
