Sucrose is made up of two monosaccharide glucose and fructose. These two monosaccharides are held together by glycosidic linkage between `C_1` of glucose and `C_2` of fructose. Since, reducing groups of glucose and fructose are involved in glycosidic bond formation and are not available for reducing reaction. Hence, sucrose is a non-reducing sugar. Hence, option (b) is correct.
