Determine the tensions `T_(1)` and `T_(2)` in the string as shown in figure.

Resolving the tension `T_(1)` along horizontal and vertical directions. As the body is in eqilibrium,
`T_(1) sin 60^(@)=4xx9.8 N`………(i)
`T_(1) cos 60^(@)=T_(2)`…….(ii)
From Eq. (i)

`T_(1)=(4xx9.8)/(sin 60^(@))=(4xx9.8xx2)/(sqrt3)=45.26N`
Putting this value in Eq. (ii)
`T_(2)=T_(1) cos 60^(@) =45.26xx0.5=22.63 `N
