State and explain Bernoulli's Principle....

State and explain Bernoulli's Principle.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Along a stcamline, in a steady flow of non viscous fluid, potential energy, kinetic energy and pressure energy remain constant.
`i.e, mgh+1//2mv^(2)+PV=K`
`i.e, mgh+1//2mv^(2)+Pm//p=K divide m`
where .h. is called gravitational head, `v^(2)/(2g)` is velocity head and `P/(rhog)` is pressure head. For a horizontal Flow, `(pv^(2))/(2)+P=K`.
As the velocity of the fluid increases, pressure of the flud decreases.
