Explain the uplift of an air foil in the aircraft by using Bernoulli's theorem.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The air foil (wings) of an aircraft is specially designed such that the upper surface is convex. The speed of air at the top is more than at the bottom of the air foil.
This creates the pressure difference between the top and the bottom of the foil. The high pressure the aircraft upwards.
