Can we determine the gravitational mass of a body inside an artificial satellite?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

No, we cannot determine the gravitational mass of a body inside an artifical satellite.The artificial satellite acts like a freely falling body.In this case,
a = g
`therefore` Weight F = m(g - g) = 0
Hence weight of the body inside the satellite is zero.
