Where does the weight of a body become zero?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

At the centre of the Earth the weight becomes zero because as we go inside the Earth, the value of attracting gravitation force on mass M decreases and its value becomes zero at the centre of the Earth. Consequently a body at the centre of the Earth feel no gravitational attraction or its weight becomes zero at the centre of the Earth.
