State newton three laws and discus their significance

Text Solution

Newton's first law : Every object continues to be in the state of rest or of uniform motion unless there is external force acting on it.
Newton's second law : The force acting on an object is equal to the rate of change of its momenturm.
`vec(F ) = (vec(dp))/(dt )`
newton's third law : Newton's third lasw states that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction .
Singificance of Newton's lasw of motion
(i) Newton's laws are vector laws:
(ii) The acceleration experieneed by the body at time 1 depends on the force which acts on the body at that instant of time
(iii) In general the direction of a force may be different from the direction of motion
(iv) The total force `(vec(F )_(max))` is equivalent to the vectorial sum of the individual forces .
(v) If no force acts on the body then Newton's second `m(d vec(v ))/(dt )=0`
(vi) Newton's second law has cause adn effect relation .Force is teh cause adn acceleration is teh effect.
