`rArr" "a*(1)/(3)=1`
`rArr" "a=3`
`"Now "b^(2)=a^(a)(1-e^(2))`
`=9(1-(1)/(9))=8`
`:.` Equation of ellipse
`(x^(2))/(a^(2))+(y^(2))/(b^(2))=1`
`rArr" "(x^(2))/(9)+(y^(2))/(8)=1`
`rArr" "8x^(2)+9y^(2)=72`.
