From coulomb.s law electric force between two charges is directly proportional to product of charges and inversely proportional to square of distance between them. That is
`F=k (q_(1)q_(2))/(d^(2))`
where `k=1/(4 pi epsilon_(0))=` proportionality constant. If a medium is placed between the charges, then
`F.=1/(4 p epsilon_(0)K) (q_(1)q_(2))/(d^(2))`
Since medium placed between the charge is a metallilc plate, so for it `K=¥`
Hence `Fcancel(c)=0`
