The image of a real object in a convex m...

The image of a real object in a convex mirror is 4cm from the mirror. If the mirror has a radius of curvature of 24cm, Find the position of object and magnification

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Now u = `(vf)/(v-f) = ((4)(12))/(4-12) =` -6 cm
The negative sign shows that the object is real and it is placed in front of mirror.
The magnification, m = `-v/u = (-(+4))/-6 = 2/3`
