The gravitational field in a region is given by `vecE = (3hati- 4hatj) N kg^(-1)`. Find out the work done (in joule) in displacing a particle by `1 m` along the line `4y = 3x + 9`.

A

3J

B

4J

C

0J

D

2J

Text Solution

The correct Answer is:
C

Slope of displacement vector `m_(1)=3/4`
Slope of force vector `m_(2)=(-4)/3`
`m_(1)xxm_(2)=3/4xx(-4)/3=-1`
i.e.m force and displacement vectors are per pendicular. The work done is zero.
