Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Acid + Base `to` Salt + Water
`HCl(aq)+NaOH(aq)toNaCl(aq)+H_(2)O(l)`
`HNO_(3)(aq)+KHO(aq)toKNO_(3)(aq)+H_(2)O(l)`
Both the salts NaCl and `KNO_(3)` are netural in nature. They neither change blue litmus red nor red litmus blue. That is why the reaction is called neutralisation reaction.
