A car acquires a velocity of `72 km//h` in `10` seconds starting from rest. Find (a) the acceleration (b) the average speed ( c ) the distance travelled in this time.

A

50m

B

100m

C

200 m

D

400m

The correct Answer is:
B

u=0, v=72 km/hr=20m/s
From first equation of motion,
`v=u+at` or `20=0+axx10`
or `a=20//10=2 m//sec^(2)`. From second equation of motion
`s=ut+(1)/(2)at^(2)=0xx10+(1)/(2)xx2xx(10)^(2)`
=100m.
