Statement I: In the three cases shown in the figure, force exerted by liquid on three vessels is the same.
Statement II: Pressure at the bottom in each case is same.

A

Statement-1 is True, Statement-2 is True, Statement-2 is a correct explanation for Statement-1.

B

Statement-1 is True, Statement-2 is True, Statement-2 is NOT a correct explanation for Statement-1.

C

Statement-1 is True, Statement-2 is False.

D

Statement-1 is False, Statement-2 is True.

The correct Answer is:
D

In freely falling liquid pressure difference between any two points is zero. So force exerted by liquid on bottom of box is equal to force exerted on top. So Buoyant force acting on block is zero.
