Phenolic esters heating with `AlCl_(3)` (Lewis acid ) gives ortho and para acyl phenol . This is known as Fries rearrangement .

In general, low temperature favours the para product and high tempearture favaous orhto product .
Mechanism :

If one of the ortho position is subtituted by any group then para is the major product
