What is the difference between elastomers and fibres ?

Elastomers are rubber type substances which have weak van der Waals forces of attraction. They are elastic in nature e.g., natural rubber and Buna-S etc.
Fibres are thread like substance having strong forces of attraction. They are crystalline in nature e.g. terylene and nylon.
