In what way is the Rutherford's atomic model different from that of Thomson's atomic model ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

According to Thomson's model an atom may be reagrded as a positively charged spere containing protons in which the negatively chrged protons are supposed to be studied or exbedded . He gave no clue about the nucleus and extra nuclear portion ,This was given for the first time by Rutherford's model atom with the help of `alpha` ray scattering experiment
