The two commonly used bioreactors are :- ltbr. (i) Simple stirred-tank bioreactor. (ii) Sparged stirred-tank bioreactor. A stirred tank reactor is cylindrical or curved base to allow the mixing of contents. The stirrer allows even mixing of contents and oxygen availability. There are additionally a temperature control system, pH control system and sampling ports through wich small volumes of culture can be taken out.
