(a) When a vein with intact blood is treid at two ends removed from the body , the blood in it does not clot for a long time due to smoothness of the endothelial linning . So , vein is called living test tube . (b) Deistilled water is hypotonic to RBC is placed in distilled water, it will draw in water by endosmosis.as a result, RBC will swell up and eventually will burst. This is called haemolysis.
