Proximal convoluted tubules (PCT ) and D...

Proximal convoluted tubules (PCT ) and Distal convoluted tubules (DCT).

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Both and DCT are the parts of a renal tubule. The proximal convoluted tubules(PCT) arise from bowman.s capsule and traverses within cortex. The cells of this tubule are large and columanar with brush borders in their apical surface. On the contray, the Distal convoluted tubule (DCT) has a straight part continuous with the ascending limb of the loop of Henle. A convoluted part is also lying in the cortex.
