Position coordinates of A and B are (-...

Position coordinates of A and B are (-1,5,7) and (3,2,-5) respectively. Express `vec(AB)` in terms of position coordinates.

Let O be the origin , `vec(OA)=veca,vec(OB)=vecb and vec(AB)=vecc=vec(OB)-vec(OA)=vecb-veca` [Fig.2.38]
Here,`veca=-hati+5hatj+7hatk and vecb=3hatk+2hatj+(-5)hatk`

`therefore vec(AB)=vecc=vecb-veca`
`=(3hati+2hatj-5hatk)-(-hati+5hatj+7hatk)`
`=4hati-3hatj-12hatk`
