A ball of mass 1 kg is thrown vertically upwards and returns to the ground after 3 seconds. Another ball, thrown at `60^@` with vertical also stays in air for the same time before it touches the ground . The ratio of the two heights are

A

`1:3`

B

`1:2`

C

`1:1`

D

`2:1`

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The correct Answer is:
C

Both of the balls stay in air for the same time before touching the ground . Hence , vertical components of velocities of the balls along with the heights are equal . So , ratio of the two heights are `1:1`.
