If the mass and the radius of the earth suddenly reduce to half their present values,
(ii) how many days will constitute a year ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The time taken by the earth to revolve once around the sun (1year) does not depend on the mass or radius of the earth. But as each day is now of 3h duration and the total time in a year remains unchanged, it will now contain `365xx8=2920` days.
