`1/2v_(1)^(2)+(p_1)/(rho)=1/2v_2^2+(p_2)/(rho)("since the tube is horizontal")`
or, `p_2=p_1+1/2rho(v_1^2-v_2^2)=0.1xx(13.6xx10^3)xx9.8+1/2xx10^3xx{(0.4)^2-(0.8)^2}`
`=13088 Pa=(13088)/((13.6xx10^3)xx9.8)` m Hg
`=0.0982` m Hg.
