What is meant by specific gas constant? Is the value of this constant same for all gases?

Value of `(pV)/T` for 1g of a gas is the specific heat constant of that gas. Value of the constant is different for different gases because of the difference in molecular weight M, since `(pV)/T=nR=1M R`.
