Mention of causes for the deviation of ral gas from ideal behaviour.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

(1) There is no intermolecular attraction within gasesou molecules (at high pressure and low temperature there is appreciable intermolecular force of attraction). (2) The actul volume of the molecules is negalibible as compared to toal volume of the ags. (At high pressure the gasceous molecule occupy minimum volume, which is not negligible).
Note : Because of this deviation Van der waal modified at ideal gas pressure and ideal gas volume respectively.
