State anti Merkovnikoff's rule and explain with an example.

In the presence of peroxide, addition of HBr to unsymmetrical alkenes like propene takes place contrary to the Merkovnikoff.s rule. Thi shappens only with HBr but not with HCl or Hl. This reaction is know as peroxide or Kharash effect or anti - Merkovnikoff.s rule
