The correct Answer is:
D

Here, N=2y, it is the same for all cases.
Interest for 1500 at 8% per annum = `(1500 xx 8 xx 2)/(100)= Rs. 240.`
Interest for 1000 at 11% per annum = `(1000 xx 11 xx 2)/(100) = Rs. 220.`
Interest for 2000 at 15% per annum = `(2000 xx 5 xx 2)/(100) = Rs. 200.`
Interest for 900 at 20% per annum = `(900 xx 20 xx 2)/(100) = Rs. 360.`
`therefore ` Maximum interest is obtained for Rs. 900 at 20% per annum.
Hence, the correct option is (d).
