Ram and Raj travel along a straight line...

Ram and Raj travel along a straight line from X to Y with different unifrom speeds. Ram started from X and reaches the place Y in t s. if Raj travels half of the total distance between X and Y in 2t s, determine the ratio of speevds of Ram and Raj.

Let 'd' be the distance coverd by Raj in time t then
Speed of Ram `S_(1) = [d/1]m s^(-1)`
Speed of Raj `S_(2) ( (d//2)/(2t)) = d/(4t) = 1/4(d/t)`
Ratio of speed = `S_(1)/S_(2)= d/t : 1/4 d/t = 1:1/4 = 4:1 `
