What is a shadow and why the house fly does not cast a shadow on the ground while flying ?

Shadow is the dark region formed behind an opaque body when it is placed in the path of light. We cannot find a flying house fly shadow on the ground, because it is formed in the air, Unless we keep a secreen there , we cannot find it.
