In places which are close to the coast , the proportion of water vapour in the atmospheric air is greater than the places which are far from the sea . In summer , the amount of water vapour in the atmospheric air is more due to high rate of evaporation , and hence , humidity is more. In winter , the temperature is low and rate of evaporation and hence is less. Therefore , the proportion of water vapour in the atmospheric air is variable and depends on place and season.
