Two carbon compound X and Y have the molecular formula `C_(3)H_6` and `C_(4)H_(10) ` respectively which one is most likely to show addition reaction? Justify your answer, also give the chemical equation to explain the process of addition reaction in this case.

Compounds X and Y correspond to the general formula `C_(n)H_(2n)` (for `C_(3)H_(6)`) and `C_(n)H_(2n+2)` (for `C_(4)H_(10)`). This means that the compound `C_(3)H_(6)` is an unsaturated hydrocarbon known as propene. On passing hydrogen gas through propene in the presence of Ni catalyst at 473K, propane `(C_(3)H_(8))` is formed which is a saturated hydrocarbon.
`underset("Propene")(CH_(3)-CH=CH_(2)+H_(2))undeset(473K)overset(Ni)tounderset("Propane")(CH_(3)-CH_(2)-CH_(3))`
