It is advised not to stand near a running train. Why?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

When a fast running train is crossing the platform, it aleo drags air along with it at high velocity. Now, according to Bernoulli.s equation, the pressure in the region where air has high velocity will be decreased than the surroundings. Thus, a person standing near the train experiences a push towards the train due to high pressure surrounding him and it may be fatal for him.
