Does Archimede's principle hold in a vessel in free fall?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

No, free fall means that the vessel is in the state of weightlessness, i.e. value of g is zero. This implies that the buoyant force does not exist in such a case and hence, Archimedes. principle does not hold good.
