It is difficult for a man to walk bare footed on sand. Why ? How can this difficulty be removed?

Explanation

As the sand yeilds when a man walks on it. This difficulty can be overcome by placing wooden plank on the sand. In this case, the weight of the man will act on larger area and pressure exerted on the sand will be small and hence the sand will not yield.
