At what temperature will both the Celsius and Fahrenheit scales read the same value?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Let `T_C = T_F = x `
As we know `(T_C - 0)/(100) = (T_F - 32)/(180)`
`(x)/(100) = (x - 32)/(180)`
solving we get , x ` = - 40^@`
therefore ` -40^@C` and `-40^@F` are equivalent temperatures .
