Two lines of force in an electric field never intersect each other. Why?

No, two electric field lines can never intersect with each other because a tangent at any point on electric field lines gives the direction of electric field intensity. If they intersect, there will be two possible tangents at the same point, which means two different directions of field at a same point that is not possible.
