A series LCR circuit is shown in the figure below.

Determine the source frequency which drives the circuit in resonance . Also obtain the value of Q - factor of the circuit.

Let `omega_(r)` be the resonance frequency
`omega_(r) = (1)/(sqrt(LC)) =(1)/(sqrt(80xx10^(-3)xx50xx10^(-6)))=500` rad /s
`:. F_(r) = (omega_(r))/(2pi)= (500)/(2pi)= 80 Hz`
Q - factor is `Q= (omega_(r)L)/(R ) = (500xx80xx10^(-3))/(60 )= (2)/(3) = 0.67`
