An electromagnetic wave of wavelength 300 metere canbe transmitted by a transmission centre. A condenser of capacity 2.5 `muF` is available. Calculate the inductance of the required coil for a resonant circuit. Use `pi^(2)=10`.

`f= ( c)/(lambda)`
where c = speed of light = `3xx10^(8) ` m/s
`lambda =` wavelength wave = 300 m
`:. F= (3xx10^(8) )/(300) == 10^(6) ` Hz
Also for LC oscillations
`f= (1)/(2pisqrt(LC))`
Here L = ?
C = 2.5 `muF = 2.5 xx10^(-6) F `
`:. L = (1)/(4pi^(2)f^(2)C)`
`= (1)/(4xx(3.14 )^(2)xx(10^(6))^(2)xx2.5 xx10^(-6))`
`=1.014xx10^(-8) `H
