rms value of the voltage, `E_(rms)` = 220 V
Frequency, f = 50 Hz
(a) rms value of current in the circuit is
`I_(rms) = (E_(rms))/(R)`
`rArr " " I_(rms) = (220)/(100) = 2.2 A`
(b) Average power consumed over full cycle is
` P_(av) = E_(rms)I_(rms)`
= `220 xx 2.2`
`P_(av) `= 484 W
