Give the expression for the phase angle ...

Give the expression for the phase angle in an AC circuit containing resistor inductor and capacitor .

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

If `delta` is the angle between impedance Z and R in an AC circuit , then
`tan delta = (X_(L) - X_(C))/(R)`
` delta ` is positive in inductance dominated circuits and negative In capacitance dominated circuits .
