What is the power factor of a circuit having a pure resistance only?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

It is the ratio of true power to the apparent power
` cos delta = (P_(av))/(epsilon_(rms)i_(rms))`
for a purely resistive circuit `delta` = 0, Hence, power factor is unity.
