An inductor acts as a conductor for d.c. why ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

For DC, f = 0 , `therefore X_(L) = 2 pi fL = 0`
As inductive reactance `X_(L)` is zero for DC , through an inductor, DC can pass easily. Thus an inductor acts as a conductor for DC.
