How will the diffraction pattern change if the single slit diffraction set-up is immersed in a medium with refractive index greater than air ?

In a medium with greater refractive index, the effective wavelength of the light will decrease. Hence, the width of the central maxima will also decrease. Similarly, angluar width of the pattern will also decrease.
