What is the shape of the wavfront on the Earth for sunlight?

Considering the sun as a point, the wavefront originating from the sun is spherical. But the radius of the spherical wavefront is huge as compared to the Earth.s radius. So only a protion of spherical wavefront will reach the Earth and that can be treated as a plane wavefront.
