Why is the diffraction of sound wave more evident in daily experience than that of light wave ?

For diffraction to occur on an observable scale. The size of obstacle or aperature .a. should be the order of wavelength `.lambda.` of the incident waes , i.e., `a = lambda`.
The wavelength of visible light waves varies between 400 nm and 750 nm approximately. The obstacles or apertures of such small sizes are not so common in daily life. On the other hand, wavelength of sound waves varies between 15 m and 15 mm. The obstacles or apertures of this size are more commonly available in daily life.
Therefore, the diffraction of sound waves is more evident in daily experience that of light waves.
