Two cars are moving in the same direction with a speed of 30 kmh. They are separated from each other by 5 km. Third car moving in the opposite direction meets the two cars after an interval of 4 minutes. What is the speed of the third car ?

A

`30 km h^(-1)`

B

`35 km h^(-1)`

C

`40 km h^(-1)`

D

`45 km h^(-1)`

Text Solution

The correct Answer is:
d

As the third car meets the two cars moving in the same direction with same speed at an intervel of 4 minutes or `(1)/(15)` hours and durings this intervel the third moves a distance of 5 km, then the R.V of the third w.r.t. first two is `(5)/(1//15)=75 km h^(-1)`
