The temperatures of two bodies measured ...

The temperatures of two bodies measured by a thermometer are `t_(1) = (20 pm 0.5)^(@)C, t_(2) = (50 pm 0.5)^(@)C`. Calculate the temperature difference and the error therein.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

`t_(1) = (20 pm 0.5)^(@)C t_(2) = (50 pm 0.5)^(@)C` temperature difference t = ?
t = `t_(2) - t_(1) = (50 pm 0.5) - (20 pm 0.5)^(@)C`
`= (50-20)pm(0.5+0.5)`
t = `(30pm1)^(@)C`
