Calculate the equivalent resistance in t...

Calculate the equivalent resistance in the following circuit and also find the current `I,I_(1) and I_(2)` in the given circuit.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Since the resistors are connected in series, the effective resistance in the circuit `=4Omega+6Omega=10Omega`
The Current 1 in the circuit `=(V)/(R_(eq))=(24)/(10)=2.4A`
Voltage across `4Omega` resistor
`V_(1)=IR_(1)=2.4A xx 4Omega=9.6V`
Voltage across `6Omega` resistor
`V_(2)=IR_(1)=2.4A xx 6Omega=14.4V`
